I'm about to pull the trigger on a Dometic fridge, since they're on sale right now and I'm going to want one for a couple trips this year.

My question is: Which size have you 4 door guys been getting? I thought it was the 55qt?

I ordered a CFX 45. Goose Gear, and others make a slide for it as well. According to Dometic it really is a 46l. It seems as if most of the YouTubers are running with a fridge in the 45l range regardless of make. It gives them more room to carry other things.

If you want to retain the rear seats 45 will be the biggest. 45 and 35 you can fit on a fridge slide. The 55im will be too big unless you want to run it across as I did in the Gladiator.

I have a 25, because it fits lengthwise on a slide behind the rear seats and allows plenty of space for all my other gear. I do like to keep my gear load light and not carry a lot of weight.

I have the 35. Same width and length of the 45, but shorter height wise. I went with the 35 so it would fit under my cargo shelf, which I keep at its lowest. The 45 would have fit length wise, but not height. A 55 would not fit lengthwise in the cargo area of a 4dr, you'd have to go sideways.

If you're willing to go sideways, you can go even larger. Example: https://americanadventurelab.com/product/mass-wide-slide/ (a CFX3 75DZ)

I ended up deciding on the 55 since I run 99% with the rear seat removed completely with a plywood deck over the footwells or with the seat folded down. But my main use is in my pickup with a topper.

The Dometic showed up. I plugged it in and it cooled down to 38F in short order. I also loaded an app for it and can monitor and change temperature remotely. It has both bluetooth and wifi. Starting out great.
