I love my TJ. But the JL is better in every way.

Fun fact. Throughout the JK years when these polls would get posted, the JK ranked higher than the TJ. The hate makes no sense to me the JK was far more capable a rig than the TJ on and off-road. TJ’s had their share of imperfections that seem to have been forgotten.

I have both a TJ and a JL. The TJ has proven to be far more reliable and I trust it much more to not leave me stranded than I do the JL. The TJ is utilitarian and relatively simple. The JL has so much added electronic crap that is glitchy and prone to malfunction. I love my JL, but I love my TJ more.

TJ by far for me. Coil spring suspension changed the game and pushed the aftermarket boundaries. They were built tough and extremely easy to work on.

JL would be second but its much more tech/comfort focused than the TJ to help push sales.

Love your driveway game! JL, TJ, STI
Thanks!
STI is getting replaced by a 2 door JL.. but not pictured are my boosted Hondas, S2000, and a 95 hatch.

If I didn't have a wife and kids, and I could purchase a brand new TJ, that's my vote, where I am at currently in life, it's the JL for me. However, TJ and JL get my vote if I could vote twice.

Best is definitely subjective. My favorite Wrangler was my '94 Sahara. In certain cars I really like simplicity, whereas in others I like the nice creature comforts. My YJ Sahara was decked out for it's time with a/c & a detachable-face cd player. Dealer installed Warn winch and windshield light bar (ala Jurassic Park Jeep). Really liked the green/tan interior & even miss the rear bumperettes.

While I really enjoy our JKUs and I'm sure our JLU (when it finally arrives), I'm not too thrilled with how big Jeeps have gotten over the years. They've all been great though, which is I guess why I keep buying them.
