that must be one funky looking tire......The Mickey Thompson Baja's are the best tire I have had in a long time. I was hell bent on putting the BF Goodrich KO2's on (KO3's stink, damn they are F rated, ride like crap.) I run the Mickey T's around 30psi and the ride is amazing 12.5x17x35, and I actually think the 4 wheel traction is better. I have bead lockers and I have had them down to 14 psi. I have always ran BF Goodrich until now.....
the Toyo at3's run a bit small too and I while I liked them I like my Mickey thompsons better. I ran the AT3's side by side with both KO2 and Falken AT3w and all 3 were very similar in performance...good choice no doubt but if I had to chose right now between the mickey in 255/85-17 and the Toyo at3 there would be no hesitation in going with the 255/85-17 both ride similar but the micky is quieter and taller...Keep in mind that 35" KO3s are only available in load range F for now. The ride won't be the best on street.
I'm moving to 35 (35x11.5) from stock KO2s on my 2 door Rubi and after long research my choice was the Toyo AT3's. Also mostly street and some moderate trails. After KO2s my big concern was the wet traction which KO2s suck big time at.
