Here in Virginia, I have to pay nearly $1000 in Property tax each year plus the registration renewal fee, which is quite small.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday, exactly the same as you.

This plus 6.35% sales tax or 7.75% if 50K, or above. Hard top would have put me over, so got the soft top and no luxury tax. Looking forward to about $1200 more when property tax is due...

They really should take “constitution” off their plate with all those ridiculous taxes to drive your car.

State and local sales tax which comes to over $3800 in Missouri, in my county, payable at the time of registration, NOT factored into the loan in Missouri. Then there's the $76 fee for two year tags.

You can try to get away with it for awhile but I actually got ticketed. They came to my work and put notices on all the cars with out of state plates. We ignored them until finally we couldn’t...TX plates here in PHX.

I've seen those ADOT notices placed on vehicles parked at apartment complexes as well.
