Seriously... if driving jeep open-air is that important while in college, you should get a soft top instead. Leave the hard top at parents house back home.

Or, sure, a storage unit.

But if you couldn't figure out these two solutions on your own... well... maybe college isn't the best investment for you.

How dare you. This forum should be considered a Safe Space. Hey! Perhaps that is what you OP could use his hard top for! College campuses can never have enough of those, you can create one out of the hard top and create an area free of threatening ideas, actions or conversations. Namaste.

I’d ask if your campus has storage options. If not, then I’d second getting a small storage unit nearby. Some may have student discounts. Good luck :fingerscrossed:

Even if you find a space to store it, you’ll be
putting it on and off a lot or parking your Jeep without a top. Do you have a safe place to park it topless?

Sounds like a soft top might make better sense.

I will be attending college in La for the first time and want to take advantage of the weather. I need to find a solution to getting my top off while I am there. I have no garage and I can store my doors in my living quarters. Any ideas about where to put the hardtop?
Not everyone should go to college

A soft top is a threat to security and I know people will get in no matter what but I personally choose to lock my vehicle. Storage lockers came may be too pricey and I did consider them. Wondering if anyone had unique solutions

I’m not sure the place is exactly “safe” which is why I opted for a hard top. I know this somewhat contradicts going open air but I’d love to go topless for a week or so at a time.

Does your living area have an open stairway or landings?
Can you store the top under it?
Possibly even hang it under it with straps.

You could always use a Top Lift Pro (or similar) and leave it on the lift in a parking space, when not in use. But, if the area is not "safe", then this wouldn't be a good option. Also, these lifts can be pricey (I've seen some homemade or other types of lifts re-purposed; which could be cheaper).

Not my photo.

These guys have no imagination.

Step 1: Find chick that lives nearby.

Step 2: "Date" above mentioned female.

Step 3: Store hardtop at "girlfriends" place as needed.

Bonus if she is hot.

Problem solved.
