Aren't the body panels aluminum?That does look a little crazy! I can see in 2038, people on jeep forums will be warning others buying āoldā JLs to always check for rust on the body there, and quadratec will make a mint selling replacement or patch panels
I have seen videos of people going over the changes in the JL where the hood, doors, windshield frame, and tailgate are all aluminum. I saw one that stated the fenders are as well but I am not sure about that.Aren't the body panels aluminum?

I have been thinking about doing the same with the fender welting.... if you look at old VW bugs it is the rubber between the fenders and body. Looks a lot like weather stripping or piping on leather seats.fender welting? show us some pictures of how that would work.
