I live in the South where
A. it snows and everyone freaks out and everything shuts down then
B. the snow is gone by midday
Sometimes I miss the real snows I had growing up in New York....
A few years ago I used my honda accord to pull a jeep out of a ditch. I guess they learned the hard way that 4wd doesn't work on ice.

Our driveway has southern exposure, and our vehicles are 4WD (2) or AWD (1). Even if the sun doesn't mitigate the depth of the snow, we're usually still able to push through. The distaff portion of Haus Heimkehr is happy to remind me that they don't really like to do that, though.

It's real laziness to skip the work, too, because my snow blower makes a doddle of the job.

Do new snowblowers still destroy concrete?

For those of us who rent, it is usually in boilerplate leases to shovel within 24 hours. I’m assuming that’s because the local ordinance authority sends the bill to the owner, not the resident.

That’s a nice blower. My Jeep won a war your Honda blows my driveway. Really though, Honda makes sweet snowblowers.

I just usually end up working in the south for the winter, hopefully again this year. Then there is no shoveling for me since I live way out in the middle of Knowhereville.

My driveway faces North. I hate shoveling snow after its been driven on. We stay on top of shoveling pretty good.

If its forecast to snow more than a couple inches I usually try to shovel a few times so I never have to do more than about 2" at a time. 2" takes maybe 10 minutes. 8" takes an hour and sucks.

Thanksgiving week 2019 was 22" and that took hours and sucked even worse. I was in the garage installing the lift on my Jeep so didn't stay on top of the shoveling during the blizzard. Regretted that big time.

I just drive back and forth on it until it looks flat.

where we live you really only have 2 options. Own a car and scoop every freakin time it snows a few inches or own a 4x4 and make scooping an option. After living here for many years our house garage has a Durango 4x4, Ram 4x4, and Jeep 4x4. I scoop when im bored, thats usually after football season is done in february.

look on the bright side: if, during these long, cold winter nights the jeep & prius happen to "get cozy" with one another, maybe they'll birth you either a jeep with a prius motor (v6 etorque) or a new 4xe. I suggest you separate the 2 as soon as possible..put the prius outside to prevent any mishaps

No shovel required. I don't think I shoveled once last winter. :)
