Not sure about the USA.
In Canada we have Omnvic.
They look at customer complaints with dealers.
If you do not have that than maybe you have to seek legal advice.

Legal is a route I don't want to take... I love Jeep! They just put the wrong part on my jeep and I want the correct one. It should be so simple... instead I was told the right piece is on my jeep basically calling me an idiot. Thankfully I can read and comprehend the numbers that say ,"392".... or I could if they were on my jeep where they should be.
And Im in contact with the dealership and service dept... they are getting the run around as well.

The dealer isnt the issue... but thank you.
I was looking for names and numbers...
So far Im living in email city and I prefer good old fashioned verbal convos.

I been thinking about it, at least from a technical information point. 392 is supposed to get its own plaque and has different data points for stuff like water fording. The Extreme Recon or what ever has greater capabilities then the standard model. I am wondering if the plaque on the back of my Rubicon and others is technically wrong and really the ratings is for a base Jeep on the plaques.

But personally if I spend top dollar for a 392, I want the plaque. Even if they mail it and I hang it up in the office.

I just didnt want to get into the whole badge discussion - who likes what badge and placement if you get it... I was trying to keep this thread on a short and sweet path to the info I seeked... hence me being vague. Fat chance someone didn't let the cat outta the crystal clear bag I know Technically I have ordered one thru a service dept that isn't mine but I was told I would be receiving another silver badge. I contacted jeep cares before ordering it myself so when they reached out to me today I proceeded in my quest!

Being vague actually hinders the ability to possibly help you. I myself couldnt care less what badge or where you want it. But without details it's pretty hard to offer advice. I know what you mean though, people love to force their opinions on others. Glad you got it worked out, sounds like you did.

How do people know it is a 392 when behind you?. Pay all that money and cant even show it off.

Ive been seeing a V6 badge going around, people puting it on their V6 JLs. Lol... at least yours should come with the Jeep. It is like buying a Willys that doesn't have the Willys decal.

This is the one that goes inside the tailgate, so can’t see it from the outside.

They failed me and I just kept going to different dealerships until I found one willing to cooperate.
