I’ve heard it doesn’t mean much to have this date. I am just happy that it is progressing in some way. I hope we all get pleasantly surprised with a speedy delivery!Usually the estimated ship date is the build date. Not all vehicles make it through the plant in one pass. Some get flagged by QC for additional work, some get additional equipment added offline, they have rows of lines where they sit some that have started but get put on hold. Then when they are out the door they may be parked waiting for enough vehicles going to the same area are available before they go on transport. There are several large parking lots near the plant where they get parked.
The date closest to reality is the one when your dealer calls and says it arrived.
Also, D1, mine sat in D1 last year for 5 weeks before it was escalated and built.
