Three more weeks to order a 2020. Guess those on the fence better get their orders in if they want one or wait until September to get a 2021.

Haha. We have to wait until August anyway.

Exactly. Waiting to see what is offered in 2021. Looks like either way we’re placing an order first week of June.

Saw a couple of websites with details about the 2021 Wrangler but they must of been written by the same Chinese guy that writes the instructions for everything that is shipped from China so guessing the sites are fake. Couple of other rumors said it was going to be 2" wider and 2" longer but don't see that happening midway through the JL lifecycle. The new UConnect 5.0 infotainment system is in testing but not scheduled to come out until some of the 2022 FCA models. Some color changes most likely. Maybe adding more options on the Sport.

I’m thinking that my 2020 will become a collector’s item. With so few 2020’s made, I’m gonna be able to sell it for a huge premium. It’s a pre-pandemic Jeep. Serious extra cash on the resale market!

now, before anyone actually takes that statement seriously, yes, I am kidding

Both 2019 and 2020. The 2019s probably have as unique a production cycle. The '19s were a very short production year. And now covid-19 clips the 2020 cycle.

Unfortunately the only thing "collectable" many people will remember about 2020 is unemployment. As in "collecting" unemployment.

Welp, guess I'll grab my survival kit.
Change of plans.
Back to work on Monday!

If you can do a little reconnaissance for us on acquiring VINs making it through to get an estimated production speed, you’ll be like a superhero or something. I can mail you some of those super secret camera eyeglasses I got in my crackerjacks box.

Normally, I would, but I don't have access to those systems. I haven't worked on the line since 2012. It was still working for a while. I checked a few months ago and they deleted everything.

This is good news for you, I think, as you have wanted to get back to work. Terrific! As the next few weeks unfold, if there are bits of info that you can share (without breaching any confidentiality with FCA) I would love to hear how it’s going.......

if it’s going well a few weeks from now, then there is a chance that the US will be able to dig ourselves out of this economic mess. If it isnt, then it might be an economic Katy Bar The Door.
