In the old days you where lucky to get 10 or 12 MPG in a 4x4.

I have a 2019 jlu sport altitude manual. I get 21.5 around town and my first rip at 72mph no wind in illinois, so flat, I averaged 25.2. I am very happy. I was very careful on shifting, not ligging, but not brisk acceleration to see how good it could be. I don't like the manual gearing. Its really a 4 speed with two more over drives. Pain in the but on hilly roads...but I like a manual.

um. your getting 14-15 mpg on a 2.0 with 90-93 octane. i would think it would get better mpg than what you are getting. (set aside driving pattern)
Lmao, I never hit the reset button. Here is my current mpg after a day of mixed driving.

2018 JLU Sahara, 6sp, getting a solid 23 mpg avg, however I'm 95% back roads rarely exceeding 50 mph...
I am getting 24 on average with JLU 3.6v 6 Speed manual.

Now with just over 3500 miles, I got 28.8 on a run of 330 miles. My average since I have owned the 3.6 is just in excess of 25.8 overall. Mainly highway but a good number of local city miles as well.

Over the first 1000 miles - a mix of slow break in, normal roads and some highway.
Break in avg 19 thru wind, hills and winding backroads fluctuating rpms.
Highway avg 24 but was doing 75 at times.
Right at 20.5 in the daily commute w plenty of stop and go traffic.

6spd 3.6 Jlur

I am just at 500 miles on my 2020 JLU Rubicon and so far I am only averaging 15.7mpg. I am mostly highway and I drive +5 over the speed limit, so a mix of 70 and 75mph. The first 300 I kept in and around 55-60 on a back road that altered my speed. At what point do I break into the high teens on highway MPG?

Sounds about right going 70-75 on 33’s. I get about 17 doing 65-70 on 33’s. 50-55 MPH seems to be the sweet spot for best mileage.

Ours just turned 4000 miles with daily commute currently averaging 19.8 mpg mostly in town. Not bad with 2 inch lift and 35s! Last week we did a highway trip about 300miles each way it was right at 24.0 mpg the entire trip at 70-75 mph

For sure I'm not getting window sticker: I get 16.9 average, mix driving per each tank fill. I guess that is OK since it has stock 33" and a slight lift but I figured the window sticker would account for that. Still better than my lifted JK was getting.

I find it really strange that this is the only vehicle that people make constant claims of getting mpg far in excess of ther sticker. How is it possible to get 25-28mpg on a Jeep that has an epa rating of 21 highway?
Most folks look at the data on the dash and go with that number rather than dividing miles by actual gallons pumped.

Stock everything accept for the DMB FireDancer sticker on my right rear hardtop window. I'm 5K miles in and I'm at 19.4 MPG combined for the entire time. I've had two trips into PA which included one trip over the Appalachian Trail (elevation) and one trip to OBX and one trip down into the VA valley near JMU.
