2019 JLR, 2-door, 3.6L V6, manual transmission. Edit: no mods.

I have filled up 34 times. The average computer-reported mileage has been 18.28; the average calculated mileage has been 17.8. The computer has been optimistic about mileage 25 of 34 times; it was dead-on once, and it underestimated the mileage eight times. On average it’s about .5 mpg too generous.

See below for what the spreadsheet looks like.

I am guessing your mileage for a 2 dr JLR is low because of the high highway speeds in Texas? Hoping (or more likely Praying, given your post) that I can see 20-22

I actually don’t drive above 70 that often even when the speed limit is 75. As you can see from my post, I don’t really break it down as far as highway vs. in-town driving but I think I’m getting about 19-20 mpg on the highway doing 60-70 mph. The highways where I live aren’t exactly flat so that doesn’t help.

I started using ethanol free gas less than 1 tank ago and have improved 3mpg and still climbing. I have noticed a much smoother running engine and improved response. I have a stock 3.6 auto JLUR.

Does the 3 mpg account for the cost difference? On a recent trip, I noticed around 3-4 mpg improve with straight gas, but cost per mile was still cheaper with ethanol blend. Mine was all highway driving and I didn't notice a difference in how the engine ran.

13.3mpg on the 3.6 automatic rubicon 4 door with 100% city driving. I was totally expecting 15. My old JK got like 14.5.

It is not quite break even, but ethanol free gas burns cleaner and is not as corrosive. I also like the improved performance and smoother running engine.

You can calculate the difference here: http://calcnexus.com/fuel-cost-calculator.php

I’m getting between 18.6 and 19 mpg 38psi In my jlur 3.6 manual driving in DFW Texas cruise control set to 75 with a mix of city and highway one must be easy on the accelerator to achieve such mpg with aerodynamics of a brick:)

Just returned from a long weekend with lots of highway driving in my wife's JLUS, loaded with luggage, myself, wife, and 2 teenagers. The straight highway trips scored right around 25 mpg averaging between 65-75 mph (actual calculation, not dash computer) and one trip through the mountains got 22 mpg. Tires are stock Goodyear A/Ts, 34-35 psi when warm.

We have about 1100 miles on ours now all stock 35 psi in tires 245-75-17 GY Wrangler and in the East Texas rolling hills 18.7 mpg and highway about the same. On the trails we get even better idling around through the mud and trails have been getting 19.5 to 20 mpg. Guess our Jeep like it on the trails better. LOL

My JL Rubicon 2 door auto gets 19 mpg on the highway @ 70-75 mph and around 16 mpg in town. All stock except for CAI and Magnaflow axle back exhaust with 5,000mi. and 33 psi in the tires.
