I find it really strange that this is the only vehicle that people make constant claims of getting mpg far in excess of ther sticker. How is it possible to get 25-28mpg on a Jeep that has an epa rating of 21 highway?

As soon as I put the 33s on my 4 dr sport I went from 21 to 17. Looks great and crazy fun to drive and get 32 in the Altima so we drive it when gas mileage matters.

Maybe they average it across the various trims? Lots of sports (including mine) reporting mpg above the sticker. Lots of Rubis reporting below.

I know everyone says if you’re worried about mpg don’t buy a Jeep but I’m thrilled with mine (both the Jeep and the mpg).

Depends on how you drive. I can really pull the mileage up on the freeway in 6th at 60 mph in heavier but moving traffic as opposed to high speed highway or in city driving.

2019 Sport JLU 3.6 w/ 6-spd. Only have 1000 miles on it. But best I’ve gotten is 18.5 avg. almost all city. Regular unleaded gas.

I normally get approx sticker milage on every vehicle I've owned due to all highway driving. Got close to the sticker with the Rubicon but I'm thinking many here with the crazy numbers are using the trip computer which is consistently VERY optimistic and dependent on the reset of the mpg screen (not the trip)
I calculate every tank. The lift dropped it a bit and the 35" tires dropped the corrected mpg even more. Not complaining, it's a blast to drive and one of my few real pleasures! (120mi/day commuter)

8-speed 3.6 JLUR 2.5 lift 35 tires. It's not great, but we didn't expect it would be. Started at 13, then 15-16mpg highway. It seems to go up as we put more miles on. We only have 700 on it so far. Just got back from CO. It was so much fun. We do have get our pup to become a Jeep dog. She wasn't fond of the bumpy ride.

My JLUR 3.6L Gets Maximum 16-ish MPG on the highway, and i drive like a grandmother barely touching the gas pedal, running on 98 octane and A/C is always on 4 or 5. Jeep is stock with no lift and 32-inch BFG KM2. euro-spec Jeep.

Average weather temps (Kuwait City) are around 40C to 52C (104F to 125F) Google Lies about this :sun:. so i guess that's the main reason.

Got as much as 25 mpg on long trip and as low as 17mpg with short local trips where the engine never gets a chance to warm up. 10.5k miles on a JLUR automatic. Also noticed that odometer reads 2% lower than actual distance travelled, so stock Rubicon owners can add 2% to their mileage figures.

I average around 18mpg.mixed city and highway. 37s, 3.5" lift with some additional weight for winch, steel bumpers etc. 8spd auto, regular gas. Arizona, so full blast A/C.

After the lift and tires I found that the fuel consumption is pretty sensitive to speed, so I keep highway speeds between 65 and 70mph. Anything more will drop it under 17mpg even on flat roads.
