Hopefully this remains just a repository for humble brags. I'm not interested in invoking yet another dialog on engine choice such as what devolved into a tsunami of bickering here.

I usually get 20-30 smiles per gal although fuel consumption is about 13-14 mpg, all city so far, to the mall and gas station.

Wow! What length of time or distance was that over? I think that the overall average in the main display is a running average over the last 1,000 miles or so unless you reset it. Really impressive no matter what.

This was my best. It’s from a trip from Northern California to Montana and back. It included 4WD over the passes both ways and quite a bit in the snow while there. Maybe that slowed me down and helped the mpg. This was pretty close to my own calculations.

Thanks. That photo was taken just this morning, in recognizance of it being my new record.

I reset the A and B trip meters during every fill-up. Based on the constant flux that occurs with the tenths numeral in the mpg display, I'd say the overall display average is being recalculated constantly.

That said, when the vehicle was still new and after settling in with a few tankfulls, and since my driving habits (and roads) are reasonably constant, my running average has been 27.5-28.5 mpg. When I towed my sidecar & trailer during an interstate camping trip a few months ago, it dropped to 24.x mpg. I figured a penalty of ~4.5 mpg was reasonable.

I'm not a pokey driver, and do usually set the cruise control to be about 3-4 mph above the posted limit (I've learned that's the safe cushion on one of the more consistently patrolled roads that I use.) OTOH, I also try to avoid bad habits like jackrabbit starts when pulling away from a light. Good habits pay off, it seems.

Wrangler 4xe. >95% of my regular driving is on the electric range. This was a few months ago and I ran it down on a long trip, but I'm close to this again now at just over 7500 miles on the odo.

I honestly don't keep any close watch on fuel economy, but was maintaining about 19.7 mpg on mostly stop and go traffic. Long islands highest point is about 511' over sea level and is generally half hills and half flat running. My JLUR has the 2.0/8-speed, 4" lift, and 38x13.5's and only ever burns 93 octane from Mobil. Don't yet know what the new 40x13.5's did to that number.

15 or 16. I don't drive 60 mph on highway every where I go though.

It's a Jeep. I have yet to look at fuel mileage. When it needs gas, I fill her up.
