What's wrong with my FlashCal?

So I have a Superchips FlashCal. In the very early days of the JL, I was a beta tester for them and they sent me a unit to review. It's been in a box on my shelf since 2018. It worked on that JL fine.

Tonight I paid $109 to get the VIN unlocked so that I can use it on my new '25 JL. The website says the FlashCal is compatible with 18-26 models. After the VIN was unlocked I checked the Updater software and it says everything is up to date on my device.

I go out to my '25 and plug the SGW module in, connect the FlashCal to the OBD port, and get a message that says "no application software for this vehicle." The Updater software says it's up to date. But it does not show a VIN in the screen on my PC. What is going on??

Nope, not resolved. I got mad and threw it back into the toolbox and got out my trusty Tazer JL which never fails me. I wish I'd done that before I spent over $100 to "unlock" the FlashCal which has always been mine since new.

I'm thinking we hadn't publicly released the 25 support at that moment, I am confident that updating it should work. Please give us a call if not, 407-585-7000.

So 2025 support was just released in the last 4 weeks? Well, I'll try it again. Can't hurt.

It was available for some time but was not set live until a few weeks ago. I've used it on 25s myself and 26 is ready to go as well.

So this is the same problem I always have. It says the device is up to date but it isn't. If you look at the bottom of the screen it says 0 files were updated. And when I go out and connect it to my Jeep I get the same error message.

Looks like the Flashcal is locked to an old firmware version. I reset it to live, please update again, and it will deliver the latest firmware, and allow you to use it on the 25.
