2018 Jeep JL Rubicon & 2004 Jeep TJ. Previously owned 1993 Cherokee, 1980 CJ5, & M151A2 while in the Military. For the love of Jeeps !
My New Rubicon was broken into and the miscreant stole my Owners manual along with related Jeep paperwork. I am having to replace the manual and case. My Jeep Owners manual model was P68408 796AC. The new one that is for sale is the 796AD.
Does anyone know what the difference is. Will the AD model be the same?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

You shouldn't have to pay for an owner's manual. @JeepCares can send you one, and it's also available online.

Thanks Melendez69....but I am trying to replace almost everything they took from the vehicle. Its not just the manual...but the carrying case and the related paperwork. My Ruby was violated and I am trying to make her "whole" again. Believe it or not My son and I went back out to the road where it was broken into and my son saw paperwork on the side of the road. It was all my purchasing contracts and my lifetime warranty that the little B@$tard threw out while he was evaluating the fruits of his crime when driving away from the crime. I was thankful to have recovered every one of those documents. They were all soaking wet but they all dried out and are as good as new now. The only documents that I am missing now are my maintenance records.

That's incredibly unfortunate. I'm glad you have at least some of what was taken & strewn about. Hopefully you can get copies of your maintenance records from where any work was done.

They were able to defeat the anti theft alarms etc, just curious as to what type of protection we are dealing with here, or lack of, someone smashed the hard top rear glass on my Wrangler and the alarm did not go off, XM Guardian also reported all is well.

Hello iznthesky,

This is unfortunate that this happened to you and your vehicle, please send us a PM with your Vin and contact information. I would like to get a manual sent your way.

My alarm went off because they OPENED the door while the vehicle was locked.
You said they broke your rear glass....but if they didnā€™t open a door....perhaps that could be why the alarm didnā€™t activate.
Brute forced entry, they smashed the drivers side key lock into the door. The Jeepā€™s alarm activated and I immediately received a TXT message from Jeep about the alarm activation. I was close by.....but unfortunately I was in a boat in the water....so I couldnā€™t respond to the alarm immediately. But I was able to reset the alarm...and I believe this is what scared off the thief.
My Ruby is being repaired now and it should be ā€œas newā€ by Monday. Until then I am in my Jeep TJ.

When I return to that location again.....my Jeep will be topless and doorless.....and I will leave the glove box and center console open....so they can see that there is nothing to steal.

Sorry that happened to you. I'm not promoting violence but next time you could leave it all open but also hideout nearby and when they get in to take stuff you could shoot them in the face, I mean taze them and call the cops :)

Yup, Chrysler alarms are about the most worthless things in my opinion. Seems the only way to make them go off is to open a door.

Yet, I still get a discount on my insurance for having an alarm for some reason.

I guess they're still using the aftermarket ones from the 80s. Only go off when you don't need em.

I finally got around to disabling that stupid panic button on the FOB. Life is good now.
