What's the craziest thing you've used your winch for?

I used one to lower a 2000lb gun safe down my basement stairs! Parked it in the garage and ran the rope through 2 doorways. Worked like a charm!

So what you're saying is you did not buy some department store cheap gun safe that you can open with an axe. Hopefully it doesn't have an electronic key pad on it.

Jeep couldn't back up because where I slid there was a tree behind me and I couldn't get up the ledge. I'd have laid it over if I kept trying.

The ledge on this part of the trail wasn't as steep last time I ran it. Once I got over it peeled my rear diff cover like a can opener.

Great thing about having a winch, you can get inventive. Gives many options those without don't have

Actually, I get inventive about picking which line to go so I don’t need to use a winch to get unstuck.

Because I don’t have a winch, but I do enjoy reading stories on people who do though.
