What's New for 2023: Jeep® Wrangler

July 14, 2022 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - The iconic Jeep® Wrangler, the most capable and recognized vehicle in the world, delivers unmatched off-road capability and is produced with more than 80 years of 4x4 engineering experience.

From Jeep 4xe electrification to V-8 power straight from the factory, powertrain options include a 470 horsepower 6.4-liter V-8 HEMI® engine (Rubicon 392), 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with engine stop-start (ESS) technology and 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with ESS or mild-hybrid e-Torque technology. Also available on Wrangler four-door models is a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine with ESS. The plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine integrated with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack, delivering 21 miles of all-electric range and 49 MPGe.

Wrangler continues to offer a body-on-frame design, front and rear five-link suspension system, solid axles, electronic lockers and is one of the few SUVs to offer a six-speed manual transmission in addition to its available eight-speed automatic. • Updated exterior colors:
    • Earl (replaces Snazzberry)
    • Reign (limited edition)

  • Dual-Door Group, with base or premium uppers, includes both full and half doors. Full-steel production doors are installed on the Wrangler while matching body-color half doors are conveniently packaged within the vehicle. Engineered, tested and backed by the factory, the new half-door option enhances the Jeep Wrangler driving experience with production styling, security and occupant protection. With lower window ledges, new half doors provide improved visibility while maneuvering on and off road
  • Factory-backed, doors-off mirror kit for Wrangler is specifically engineered and tested to original-equipment standards, providing a production-equivalent field of view with minimal vibration. Each mirror in the kit attaches to a cowl-end cap bolt and the upper door hinge. In addition, an innovative, custom thumb wheel-nut-clamp is used as an attachment point to the door flange. Mounting brackets are finished with an anti-corrosion undercoat and durable black powder-coat finish. This says “wrangler models offer the trail cam forward facing off-road camera with the 8.4 inch touchscreen accessible through the available off-road pages” I wonder if that means that if you get the bigger touchscreen you get the off-road camera on the front grill? Because front camera wasn’t listed as an option when I placed my order

I don't know what I was expecting, I never read these things and I've got an old 2018 but I expected/was hoping for a lot more updates.. like uconnect or something. It's just paint stuff.
It would be pretty dangerous for them to add a bunch of new stuff given the supplier issues manufacturers have been facing. Likely won't see a mid cycle refresh until the supply issues are sorted.

Yeah. New colors and new stickers. That’s it. Woohoo!

The “all-new” Rubicon wheels are being repurposed from 4Xe.

I’m sure the batteries are still going to be trash, and the fuses still going to be loose.

How sad.

It's something, thanks for the update anyways

Almost nothing new but that Freedom edition in the 51'st shade of gray that just came out with that heavy duty Oscar Mike emblem almost makes us all run out to order one- lol

They did nothing and want credit for it :(

Much ado about nothing. I don’t understand all the talk and/or disappointment over the rumored “mid cycle refresh”, which is only discussed on this site. Nothing about a refresh has ever been leaked in the media or released by Jeep. The JL has been subject to incremental refresh since it was released. Many major options and drivetrains have just randomly been released, not even tied to a year model introduction.

What do I get out of what I read above? High Velocity is a bona fide color option and not a limited edition.

Does anyone have a picture of this? Wondering what it looks like and if it can be added to older models.

I don't know about adding a sticker will be possible on older models. It might void your warranty.

So.. they make the previous year's standard wheel an $1,100 option and stick in a subjectively uglier and cheaper-looking wheel as 'standard' and advertise it as a new feature? Fuck you, you money-grubbing assholes. Nothing new this year but a higher price.

I thought that flag decal was only for the Freedom edition. Pixel Decals can probably make any flag decal you want.

Me too but this is a different decal that is going on all of the models like Jeep has done with the new Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee.
