After thinking about it, I think I'd burn up the $5k on gas and travel expenses for trips in my Jeep.

I've bought a lot of things, some of them quite expensive, in my life. None of them live up to a great experience, and great experiences don't always need the most expensive toy (although a stock Rubicon is hardly a downstream vehicle). Some of my best "4 wheeling" experiences in my memory were in vehicles like baja bugs, Pintos and other silly vehicles.

The most I spent on my 2020 Sport S is $3,500 for a set of Rubicon Dana M210/M220 with electronic lockers (<7,000 miles on them).

Just before that, I spent $650 on a used set of steel Pro Comp wheels with 35x12.5x17 Nitto Grappler tires (4 tires and 5wheels, spent $150 on a fifth tire).

I don't mind spending money on axles, since it vastly increases capability, and I have a month long tour through Moab>Rubicon planned for June.

I have a problem spending a lot on wheels, especially since they *will* get banged up pretty good. :)

I bought almost everything used but for 5k I got beadlocks and used 37” tires, 3” falcon 3.3 lift with adjustable control arms and track bars, AFE dual exhaust, rancho diff sliders, rock hard rear shock and control arm sliders, some LED pods and SB tore carrier HD. Apex12k winch and Artec winch plate were another 1000$ that didn’t fit the original 5k budget. Got shop around and wait for it and helps that I installed everything myself or else labor cost eats half the budget.

So if you won the $5000 give away money from ExtremeTerrain.com what would you spend the money on to add upgrades to your Jeep?
I'd sell it to the highest bidder on this forum and put the money into the stock market. If I wanted something for my jeep, I would have bought it already.

A great idea, provided the awarding entity allowed you to sell your interest in the sweepstakes. I wonder if that has actually ever occurred.

They probably prohibit it. But, I could follow through with the parts purchases and effectively sell the parts.

Also, most of these sweepstakes have some kind of cash alternative. If so, I'd probably just take the cash.
