What would you do to your Jeep with $5k?

I post in partial jest and partial experience. I bought a Winch from Harbor Freight and put it on my Sahara Rubicon Unlimited. I wheeled with it and never needed it until one day i did and as soon as I began to pull myself out it died. .

Now in all fairness that could happen to ANY electric motor on ANYTHING anywhere at any time. After that I swore them off....

Just got my JLU a couple weeks ago so it is a blank slate. I'd order a RK 2.5" X Factor and a set of 37" Baja Bosses on bronze Icon Rebounds. Thats over 5k so I'd have to add a little cash.

I knew of the Sahara Rubicon LJ but did not know it was because of that crappy movie. I owned an LJR for a few months but two doors isnt ideal with two kids in car seats. Wasn't bad at all with top off, but when I put it on, it was a pain.

Kind of like the "Tomb Raider" edition a few years before that. I don't think I've seen either in person.

I don't know. It depends on the quality of wench you're after, and the country you're in.

Nothing, because I'll never win. All jokes aside, I keep my XT cart full and updated with the new amount of their giveaway. I have made it part of my daily routine to log on and submit my entry for the last 2 yrs. honestly I don't really know when I'd buy... I have a decent lift and I'm pretty happy with my current setup. but I am looking for sliders with a bit of a step since my wife hates climbing up into the Jeep. I love the stock look of the JLUR so I am trying not to mod to much out of that.
But as other's have said I'd spend it at Northridge4x4.

Absolutely! Wenches are incredibly expensive, and they get more expensive with time, especially if you try to trade in for a newer model. I found the below picture of a nice wench/bumper pair.

As for me, I’m happy with my old wench. I’d go with Teraflex brakes and Arctec aluminum slid plate. Any leftover money would be applied toward an axel upgrade.

The single most expensive aftermarket item on my Jeep was the $3,600 I paid in tax and license...

Beyond that, my major mods planned are:

1. Leather seats - $1,600 installed —done
2. Mopar LEDs - $1,300 with the halos installed and activated —done
3. A set of 275/70R18 KO2s - $1,500 mounted and balanced —done
4. Mopar steel front bumper with winch plate - $1,200 —on order
5. Quadratec Stealth 10,000 lb winch with synthetic line - $600 —on order

Oops, I guess I already blew past $5,000...!
