A motor like this in a wrangler is at face value nonsensical, but in reality is amazing. I would consider one if:

- manual trans, why would you want this in auto it’s all about the driving experience
- stiff suspension, stock sport height, adjustable stiffness for setting
- upgraded brakes
- sport, stripped trim, honestly even a weight reducing trim with almost no options a la prior lancer evos with that option
- 2 door option
- no speed limiter etc

In reality for me that rationale choice is normal wrangler + sports car. This thing is trying to do 2 very different things well. That’s not easy. I still love it though, it’s perfect for those who just want one

- fix steering as number 1. It very annoying on long hw trips, constant steering corrections
- road/wind noise
- get rid of the analog instruments, have a full digital dash

I bought my 392 to replace both my Challenger 392 and my adventure bike because I wanted power + utility + off-road capability. I think it does the trick.

Jack of all trades... master of none.

My 392 is an urban cruiser / daily driver. I wanted something rugged and I like retro looks. I also wanted a few minor luxuries like ACC and heated seats / steering wheel. It has four doors so I can carry family. Finally, the engine threw it over the top for me. Knowing I can smoke practically any car at a stop light just really makes it a cool vehicle.

Getting rid of my Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude for a 392. I know the JGC is way more practical and comfy, but it is too appliance like. I wanted a truck with some character.

Do you have steering problems as well? I know jeeps are known for not having great steering but my wife Sara drives really well.

Agreed! I can only afford mine and my wife’s Jeep for now. But I do have a Porsche on my to do list within the next two years or less.

Lane Centering
Lane centering would be awesome. Because I have such bad steering problems right now on these long camping trips with our Turtleback trailer it honestly gets tiring constantly correcting the steering.

Keep in mind these are mere complaints and not objections against the 392. Because I love it.

It should come with an angry grill so when I go to the mall, flex out on the curb, and rev my engine while drinking my Frappuccino people will know how serious of a 'wheeler I am.....

I should find out next week if I can get an allocation for a base 911. I really want a 991 GT3, so I'm putting off the porsche for a couple years to see how this market goes. In the mean time, I ordered a 392 on Wednesday.
