Thought it would be interesting to see what everyone is running on their Jeeps to handle our winters!

I've only listed the common tires with the 3 peak rating that came to mind - I'm sure I missed some but you can just check Other and post what you're running.

Feel free to post your review and how much you paid for your set.

I’d Rather Talk Jeep’s!
I’m running Blizzak’s on my wife’s Yukon that are awesome. I have Duratrac’s on my Yukon that are great. I prefer the Blizzaks on snowy/icy roads. My JL probably will be garaged all winter. :crying:

I just picked up a set of used 35" KO2's from a Raptor off Kijiji for winter duty. The Jeep will only do minimal city driving in the winter but I still wanted something better than the 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers as it gets really icy here. They should be fine for the little off roading I'll do in the winter too. The trails are just too steep and icy to do much unless you run chains.

I have studded Nokian tires on my truck and we use that for 90% of our driving.

I bought the Kumho AT51s. At $225 a tire for 35s it was hard to resist.

I am in the same boat. You can get a pretty good deal on these tires and they perform pretty well.

I paid $1250 all in for 5 tires mounted and balanced. Although mine are 33”(285/70/17)

First vehicle not running dedicated winters, always used Nokia’s studded prior. Second winter on grabber at3 year round use and they’re great. Not as great as Nokia. Studded but I only have one set of tires. We’re blanketed in freezing rain and ice in alberta right now ano they’re doing great!

I’ve run KO2 rubber year round on my Wrangler, and before that, my KL Cherokee. Never had any serious issues with them. Really bad Ontario snowstorm in ’19 was the worse I’ve driven in decades. They held up, and kept me going in a forward manner.

Open diffs meant throwing into 4HI on the 401 between London and Kitchener off and on as the backend started slipping. Solid, all around go anywhere tyres.

My Rubi came with Falken Wildpeak and they were amazing with the storm we just had in Toronto.
We got close to 60cm of snow.

First winter with my first Jeep, a Rubicon 4xe. We had 45cm o snow this past Monday with another 10cm on Tuesday night. No problems whatsoever with the KO2s that came with my Jeep. This surprised me due to some of the negative posts I had read. The snow was powdery and not wet. I went out before the plows got out and the traction was exceptional. I went out again later, going through the piles of snow left behind by the snow plows and the traction was superb. Based on this one powdery snowfall observation only, I'll be sticking with these tires.

My KO2s are starting to wear to the point the ice performance isn't as good. I'm going to try out some Baja Boss ATs this year.

Duratracs for everything. I currently have the stock firestone MT/2s and they are OK but when they are done it will be duras I switch too as I have had them on my trucks and suvs in the past. From moab to frozen tundra to deep snow to long summer hwy road trips (5 days non stop driving) they do it all.

How many KM do you have on your KO2 tires?
78k. There's plenty of siping and lug left, I'm guessing I could easily do another year on the trails plus 20k. They just seem a bit greasier on the ice this winter. That, or I didn't drive as much winter last year thanks to the Pandemic and I'm, misremembering?

I'll be putting my lift and such in this year, so will need new rims and rubber anyway.
