My installer put my Zeon 10 in with the flat link hook and it works great!
I'm sorry, no idea what's up with yours. Maybe just needs to be squeezed a bit on a vice.

in my opinon - a winch is not the place to skimp on quality.

If you installed a Smittybilt X20, did the supplied cables reach the battery? (I suspect not). If not, how much cable did you need to add and what do you guys like in the way of connectors?

I just finished my install of Quadratec Stealth 10 synthetic in my Rock Slide Engineering bumper, Factor 55 flat fold splicer shackle, also installed an isolation solenoid for the winch power which I wired from my Aux 4 switch, might also use the solenoid for my ARB air compressor

I just did my X20 install yesterday and yes the cables were plenty long. The power was about perfect and the ground was slightly too long, so i coiled one wrap behind the headlight.

Quadratec with flatlink splicer in stock bumper, JCR winchplate. All lines up well and cables reached battery no worries.

Great choice, my quadratec stealth winch has got a lot of use lately, pulling spring breakers out of the sugar sand on some of the trails here. It has performed flawlessly...

It is the Cascadia 4X4 Flipster V2, i got it on Amazon, i like it because it works great for the front license plate

Wow. Very nice electrical install. After completing my Smittybilt X20 earlier this week I’m thinking I like to add remote winch power relays, just like you did. What relays did You Use? Thank you
