What was the first modification you made to your wrangler and why?

I'm going to suggest that one's first mod be the placement of a picture of one's loved ones by the driver's seat.

I would hope it might serve to remind us to drive in ways that maximize our ability to come home to them safely, for other drivers to come home safely to their loved ones, appreciation when this does happen, and heaven forbid should an accident occur, that in the final analysis, much that we love our JLs and would hate to have to remod a new one having totaled the prior rig, that it's just a repairable/replaceable metal box compared to human life.

This is the first time I am hearing of ceramic coating. What is the purpose for doing that?

First thing I did was remove the Sport front bumper Euro trash fender gap fillers. Then I got a steel bumper a week later.

Ease of cleaning and less worries of scratches. Mines being black I always worry about scratching the darn thing with a simple wash. Plus it always looks like it's freshly waxed and it can last up to 2 years if you maintain it.

Yep, definitely not gunmetal wheels but not bad looking either.

I don't they look terrible, but not what I was expecting. I think an actual gunmetal would match better with the Sting-grey..

My first mod to the Jeep was swapping out the headlight bulbs with Philips Xtreme Vision 100.

My first mod for the Jeep was rigging up a hoist in my garage to remove the hardtop.

Had the dealer install Rubicon wheels and tires before I even took delivery. I prefer the KO2s over the Dueler A/Ts and I also like the look of the 17" wheels with beefier tires over the stock Sahara 18" set. It cost me less out of pocket than it would have been for any of the optional wheel upgrades in the configurator.

Trim the front side bumper to fender attachments and kept the cover part for back of bumper, 2.5” rough country coil suspension kit, series 44 pro comp wheels and Mudclaw extreme MT, dual rough country steering stabilizer, rough country black series cube led lights, rough country tire relocator plate, stock JLUR ROCK RAILS. Been collecting parts since my JLU sport S purchase in August. Just last weekend installed everything. I’ve got some MOLLE panels coming with packs and pouches and CB radio Firestik kit. Already been on trains when it was stock and now coming this weekend gonna go camping. Will post ore pics as I modify and build!

I built it like this so it’s capable to go on and off-road at anytime without any hesitation. And any weather. I live in the desert and work in the city down the hill. So I have the advantage to put it through both street and mountain and desert terrain at anytime.

I still have one more to build just bought my wife the exact one except white we love them both

Just wondering what was the highest priority change you needed to make to your Wrangler.

Technically a garage hoist, but as for things that attach to the Jeep it was a set of side steps for my 6 year old son and 70+ year old mother-in-law.

Stubby antenna, 4 grab handles, and the ACE rock sliders. Next is the lift for the hard top.

I have heard several conversations on locking hood latches and/or hoods. Is theft or engine bay damage a big problem with the Wranglers?
