I really need to move, that is breathtaking... It's 2.5hrs to the nearest "decent" trails from me, and while they are fun with good obstacles the scenery looks nothing like that.

Where do you like to go that is 2.5 hours away? I think you are a fellow Houstonian.

Hidden falls near Austin is a great place to take the Jeep. Anything in/around Houston is mostly mud and made for ATVs(narrow trails)

2017 Cadillac XT5 . Husband has a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited. Fell in love with driving his Jeep that I ordered my JL Rubicon in December and it should be delivered this week.

Current cars are 2016 Convertible Turbo Porsche 911 and 2018 Porsche Macan Turbo with the Performance package. The Jeep will be ordered here shortly and it will be my daily driver and just keep the 911 for a weekend fun good weather car.

I drive a 2012 F150 Lariat that I absolutely love and I do not think I can get rid of. However, it's too big and too nice to take wheeling.

So as financially painful as it is the JLUR will probably need to become my third vehicle. The JLUR will be just for trails/fun.
