I like Maui Jim’s. The lense quality is excellent. I also frequently wear Persol glasses. You won’t go wrong with either one. I've never been a fan of Oakley’s. Ray bans are good for less expensive glasses

I am suddenly inspired to locate my pair and repair them. I may be biased but I think the Juliets were some of the nicest glasses they ever made.

Here is a topic I can talk about all day. I have entirely too many pairs of sunglasses! Short answer, buy Maui Jims and have no regrets.

I have been pretty disappointed with Costa since the Luxottica buyout. Have some older 400g Fantails and Brines that have been great, but my newer Rinconitos In 580p are junk. Lenses scratch easy and the frames feel cheap. The screw on one side is stripped and keeps working its way out. Definitely not the same quality.

I am a big fan of Smiths, and have some Guides Choice and Outbacks. Smith Chromopop is pretty legit. Havn’t worn Oakleys in years, but recently purchased a pair of Holbrooks in Matte Camo/Deepwater Prism on a whim. Although they are also Luxottica, I really like them but the lenses are delicate. I also have some Ray-Ban New Wayfarers that I have been happy with. The polarized G10 lenses are great for driving.

With all that said, Maui Jims are hands down the best quality and clarity of all the sunglasses I own.

Ray-Ban Large Metal II. I have been wearing this style since the 80s. All the hip and cool designs just look stupid on me.

Just some cheapos from Wal-Mart. One brand is Terminator, not sure about the other one.

Oakley Gascan. I’ve had the same pair for about 15 years. Just got a new pair with polarized lenses.

Costa Cuts. Lenses are second to none and build quality is strong. I’ve been wearing Costas for years and don’t know if I could ever go back to Oakleys.
