Im looking to lift my JLU Sport and there are so many options and so many different sizes im beyond lost.. I want to run 35s on it since its the stock JLU sport without 4.10 gears so ive been told 37s would make it bog down to much for a daily driver unless I re-geared which isnt a option at this time. So my question is does any have any experience running a 4" lift or a 3" for a daily driver? Or should I just go for the 2.5" lift and call it done for now since it will fit 35s comfortably and be able to off road?

unless you’re going for a certain look, why lift it more than whatever’s necessary for your intended tires?

I was always told that a 3inch is what will clear 35s with no rubbing at all. So I figured a 2.5 might have some rubbing, and roam offroad only offers a 2.5" and 4" so im trying to figure out if 4" will be too much or if it will still drive fine for a daily driver. Or if I should just stick with the 2.5"

I’ve always liked the look of the wheel wells being more full, and the older I get I appreciate not having to climb up into something. You should be fine with 2.5

2-2.5 max for 35s. This will allow plenty of space for a daily driver. Lift too much and the tires will look small.

I will be running a 4 inch lift and 40s on a Rubicon. The flares on the Rubicon are about an inch higher.

Not lifting more than necessary, and filled wheel wells, and appropriate use are definitely the 3 biggest things when choosing a lift. 35’s and 37’s in some cases will fit with a 2.5” no problem, but once you choose a height, make sure you don’t go with a long arm if you aren’t going to wheel, or a spacer kit if you are heading to Moab (not saying you can’t, but why?).

Go for the lowest center of gravity. If you need more flex, looking at a fender kit might be an option.
