I just placed a order for roam side step. For the price and quality was good, was going to go for lod signature series or destroyer.
I was going back and forth between the Roam and LOD Destroyers as well. I have zero regrets...

Sorry I don’t have better photos - more to come later, hopefully.

These are the @IronCrossAutomotive steps.

Stand up company. Really great to work with. I bought from them after they sent multiple private messages replying to my questions, and provided a forum discount code (some others are not doing that).

Aside from customer service, the product is also excellent. It’s exactly what we were hoping for. It looks factory and is very clean.

How grippy is the surface? do you think kids could slip. I like that its a nice flat surface and I'd probably put some Skateboard grip tape by the door sections. NICE> i like that.

@RubenZ if possible could you please post some pics of the front and rear portions of the step/rail. Additionally some shots in sunlight if possible. I would greatly appreciatte it. So far these may be the best I’ve seen.

Those aren’t mine. I was quoting @aug0211

It’s grippy! Grip tape would add even more grip - but it’s honestly grippy as it is. You might be pleasantly surprised if you tried without grip tape first. I have no concerns with slipping on them.

Here you go! I agree, best I’ve seen. And the team at @IronCrossAutomotive is one of those “stand up crews” with outstanding customer support.

Here are some more photos for ya, let me know if you want additional angles.

Couple of notes on the photos:
1. You’ll notice I’m wearing an Iron Cross shirt (reflection in the later photos). I’m not employed by or affiliated with the brand or any employees of the brand. Just a fan after ordering these side steps (my first product from them!).

2. In the photos showing the steps in direct sun, there are some “light slivers” on the step that almost look like scratches or discoloration, etc. Those are just reflections off the paint from the Jeep and the metallic machine right behind me/to the side of where I’m standing while taking the photos. No scratches or ding or anything on the steps, they were superbly packaged.

How are they mounted underneath?
There are three brackets for each side step. The brackets bolt in to the bottom of the Jeep and into the sides (no drilling, just 3 strong bolts per bracket.

Once all 3 brackets are bolted in, a mounting plate goes into each bracket. The step then sits on the mounting plate and as you tighten the mounting plate to the bracket, the step tightens down with it.

No wobble or give or anything like that. They’re rock solid. I’ve jumped up and down on mine to test and there’s not so much as a creak or a groan. They’re not rock sliders, definitely steps - I don’t know what they’re technically rated for when it comes to weight, but I’d wager a bet that they’ll hold anyone who can get themself up to the step :)

I’ll add that aesthetically, these blend right in. My wife comments that they look like the came from the factory like this. That’s exactly what I was looking for - functional but a clean look that doesn’t stand out too much. Subtle. I think the Iron Cross team nailed it.

@aug0211 thanks a lot for the extra photos and comments about the steps. They look great. I am trying to decide between these and the rock hard 4x4 steps. This is a lot of help.

Let me know if you need any additional photos or anything. Wifey and I installed these together (no real wrenching experience - just a couple of suburbanite parents in our garage with my old manual tool kit, no lift or air tools or anything fancy).
