What you're looking for is called "Remote Proximity Keyless Entry", and Jeep DOES offer it, but I just checked the website and it's not listed for the Sport OR Sport S. THAT SUCKS!!My last car, a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack, had the "Keyless Enter n' Go" or something to that effect. Very nice... basically walk up to the car, it auto unlocks when I grab the handle, and press to start... never had to fumble with the key fob... actually useful. After having that for feature years now... I miss it terribly. Really bad... really.
Keyless entry is simply entry without a key. Usually a FOB or Keypad on the door is used in its place. It literally just means "no key required to unlock the door". Proximity entry is what you wanted. I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't get it!
