Looking at this report does anyone know what oil they put in my Jeep? I would google it but I noticed this right before going to work.

Thanks

6 Quarts of 5W20.
Was this for your JK? If so, you’re all set.

What's the oil change interval for 0w20?
I've seen 6months/5000 and 12 months 10000.
What should I be for the JL?

It's based on how you drive AFAIK, my dash readout says about 75% left and that's about 1800 miles since I reset, so in my case it looks to be just over 7k miles. I'll probably be changing at 6k though, that's what I've always done w/ pure synthetics in my other vehicles.

Yeah wasn't there just a thread here that it's supposed to be 5 qts (and of course the 0W-20 is obvious) and all dealers are getting it wrong?
Yes. There was indeed, and more than one. On our last oil change, the service clowns did manage to not screw up the tire rotation, bless their hearts.

For the record, 5W20 certainly will not hurt your Jeep. In fact, these engines originally spec'd 5W30 and the only internal difference on the JL is the camshaft profile. So, you'd actually be doing a favor to your engine if you used greater viscosity.

The 0W20 water is spec'd SOLELY for EPA testing to make the Feds happy and save FCA a lot of money on certification. They don't give a rat's *** about the lifespan of your engine once it's out of warranty.

Having said that, I WOULD however keep an eye on your oil level.

Yes,
And if you have any trouble with your $50,000 jeep from using the wrong oil, no problem you just tell Jeep corporation that WXman online said it’s no problem and to get out their checkbooks and fix your jeep ASAP. It doesn’t matter what the owners manual says, it doesn’t matter what the people who build it say. Follow some anonymous person online because they said it. Excellent advice.

If that's the way you look at it, then this forum should just be closed down because all you'll find here are opinions and personal experiences of random people all over the country. If the experience and knowledge of people who've been working on Jeeps and trucks for decades doesn't mean jack ****, then what are we all doing hanging out together here?

Looks like 6 quarts of 5w20 Penzoil conventional. They are supposed to use the semi-synthetic (or whatever they call it) 5 quarts 0w-20 and they won't use full synthetic for your free oil changes.

They have been screwing up all changes for a year and half now.
I will do it myself and use 5w-30SAE. This is the original recommendation on the 3.6 V6 engine before the politics of government CAFE regulations stepped in and demanded better gas mileage. But, there is a trade off. Less friction (thinner oil) means better fuel economy but LESS engine wear protection.

This is the EASIEST oil change on the planet, no need to lift it up, no oil running over cross members since the filter is on top, no need to carefully measure the amount since most oil is available in 5 qt jugs. Costs about $30 w/ current oil deals, takes about 15 minutes, AND YOU KNOW IT WASN'T F'D UP!

$30 and 15 minutes of my time is much cheaper IMO than taking it to the dealer, waiting, and then having to check their work, not knowing if they over-torqued or cross threaded the drain plug, over tightened the filter cap, added too much oil. Wish I could transfer my free oil changes to someone that wants them.
I checked with Jeep Wave. They informed me that if I do my own oil changes to submit the receipts for reimbursement.

Feels like fake news, I can’t see Jeep reimbursing me for changing my oil at home. We’ll see if any real proof is provided.
