My 2.0 only gets the bestest, which is 91 around here. I notice a difference when going lower octane.

This engine is designed to meet all emission regulations, and provide satisfactory fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded “Regular” gasoline having a posted octane number of 87 as specified by the (R+M)/2 method. For optimal performance the use of 91 or higher octane “Premium” gasoline is recommended in these engines

Curious what octane everyone is running. Their experience, and why their running it. At week 2 of ownership I’m currently putting 93 in (potentially has 10% ethanol in it). Roughly $0.20 cheaper per gallon than the 91 “top tier” stuff at the other station(s). Last tank I went 288 miles 17.1/gallon.
This has actually been one of my biggest disappointments. I was getting 16.5 mpg, now that I put 35s, i'm down to 15.5 to 15.8 range. Using the higher octane really hasn't showed any measurable better gas mileage.
