I will do the same thing thing I have done on all my jeeps since they started putting computers in charge of how I drive. Disconnect switch for the ABS, tilt sensor and electronic Stability Control. It's a Jeep and I always like things simple. Upgrade to 37" tires, new 513 gears, Dana 60 front 80 rear with King Coil overs and bump stops with a 2" lift making it 4" with the stock configuration.
I live in the mountains and do not go into town much, if I do I will warn everybody first.....:jk:
Doing it right. That thing should come with at least 60's from the factory. The fact that you can't order it with 35's like a Rubicon shows that Jeep knows the 44's aren't up to the task. People who throw 37's on and snap their axles will have their warranties denied.

IF I had that kind of money...

I would get a Sting Grey with the dual top group, tow package, and off road camera.

Then I would swap over what I can from my current Jeep, add a 12k Zeon winch, Rock Slide Engineering steps with skids, Rhino Rack backbone with Pioneer platform, and go see what it can do.

My bad, you can buy them off the dealer lot with 35's. Lets see if any dealers are willing to take the risk. I think the axles could survive 35's driven moderately, 37's if mall crawled, but how many people are going to do either of these with a hemi? I imagine a few maybe.

I think Jeep accounted for the extra torque on the Dana 44’s with the gearing on the 392. If you change the gearing I think you’re in for some trouble.

Only one way to know. I’ll be in Moab by late spring/summer.

the jeep will weigh more, and the engine putting out a lot more torque. so if you put 37's on and don't regear those axles will snap. you can put HD rears and axles on, but doing whatever you can to keep the weight down will also help slightly.
i.e. get rid of extra seats, go topless, stubby/lighter bumpers, spare delete / tailgate delete , etc.

Let’s let math put this notion to rest. Engineers chime in and correct me if I’m wrong.

392
470 ft/lbs x 2.72 low range= 1278 ft/lbs at wheels

Diesel Rubicon
442 ft/lbs x 4.0 low range= 1768 ft/lbs at wheels

Diesel Rubicons snapping any axles on 37’s with 500 more ft/lb?

Front bumper, need help on my decision, Genright (really would like the ultra clearance, not sure if I'm ready to touch the frame) or LOD signature series shorty. How often does the front bumper really make contact with anything while playing on rocks? Doesn't seem like it's the front that makes much contact. Will the offset of aluminum weight make a noticeable difference?

I love my LOD signature series shorty with the stinger bar on my JK. That bumper is solid and has definitely taken a beating on the rocks. A little sanding/grinding and some paint and all is new again. I cannot say the stinger has provided any value or has touched the rocks.

Are most people who are planning on getting 37’s sticking with stock gearing or planning on 4.88? With the stock 392 sitting higher it needs 37’s in my opinion so that will be my first mod once it gets here. Just worried about gearing since my 2019 JLUR with 37’s needed 4.88 to use all 8 gears at highway speeds and with the 392 coming with 3.73 it’s a small concern. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've been thinking 4.56 for 37s. And the only reason is because it's 2 steps up from 3.73s. I was planning 4.88s on a regular Rubicon (4.10) w/ 37s before I ordered a 392. So not a scientific approach at all, but would love to hear others ideas.

I also talked to Teraflex today. They are waiting to get their hands on a 392. They said they'll be releasing a different lift to account for the weight and dimensions of the 392.

(Assuming 37s fit without lift with my aftermarket wheels) I am planning 4.88 gears.
