Ok, so if I keep this tires and I like how my Jeep looks and the lift won’t improve the ride, then I don’t need a lift. Is this correct?
Yeah, unless you want to run bigger tires and have more articulation, no need for a lift.

Rancho with Rancho with 900 shocks is not a bad lift. they make good products and lifts and for shocks. or with 37s on the Rubicon you can keep the stock ride which is great and just put a 2 inch spacer lift which doesnt hurt anything and lets you run 37s without rubbing or htitig

No lifts are looks. if you have a Rubicon you can put 35s on the stock wheels like a lot of people are doing and get that nice lift looked without spending money on lift/ if you want biger and 37s then you need to lift it for that nice lifted look

Any thoughts on the Rough Country 2.5" lift?
Do a search on here rough country is better then in the past but someone on here just explains about there problem they have had with them. theirs a reason theirs 2.5 spacer lift is 179.00 and others are a least 399 and its just not mass production

Please update us on this whenever you get the lift. Skyjacker is one we are considering for my sport.
They finished up with my sport on Friday - so far I really like the lift, drives great, suspension is a little stiffer but not much different from factory ride. Wheels and tires go on tomorrow - the guys at skyjacker feel that 35s will fit with OEM wheels but since mine weren’t installed yet they couldn’t confirm, plus I am going with a Nitto 285/75/17 so it is quite a bit narrower than a 35x12.5 will see tomorrow.

I went the budget route ... RC 2.5" spacer kit. It was partly for looks, but also to give myself a little more clearance to prevent potential rubbing at full articulation. I have not noticed a difference in the Jeep's ride. That's what I was hoping, since the kit uses the stock springs and shocks. It might rock laterally a little more than before when I back out of my curb-like driveway at a sharp angle, but that might be in my head too.

I had my 14yr old son do the project with me last Saturday. It took us 8-9hrs. Being our first lift, we double & triple checked torque specs and such. Wheels look aligned with no axle shift in either direction. Steering seems fine, but I plan to take it in for an alignment to be sure it's just right.

I'll post a few pics when I have some daylight hours to take them.

That’s the fun part, getting the kids involved. With a 2” spacer kit your alignment should be fine, sometimes it can knock the steering wheel off center a bit but it always a good idea to get it checked after a lift regardless.

Rancho just released their progressive spring answer for Jeep Easter and are running stock wheels for at least 35s.
