Chat GPT:Can anyone help fully explain what lift comes with the Recon package for a rubicon?
And the $2K for the terrible factory bumpers is a big waste of money. The lift in itself is the weakest aspect of the XR package, especially if you wheel your Jeep.
Agreed, although the steel bumper package is a stand alone option from the XR package. And the $2K for the terrible factory bumpers is a big waste of money.
If you're going to stick with the factory size tires (or slightly larger), it's a bargain.Agreed, although the steel bumper package is a stand alone option from the XR package.
The XR package is still a good value at $4k for the wheels, tires, 4.56 gears, HD front axle, HD rear brakes, lowered rear track bar, extended sway bar links, etc. My gripe is solely with the 1.5” lift springs and shocks that offer no flex.
Agreed. I just threw on some spacers and some Fox 2.0s, a very budget way to get some significant gains with this setup IMOAgreed, although the steel bumper package is a stand alone option from the XR package.

I just bought a rubicon xr. Steel bumpers is a separate option. Mine came with rock rails and locking differentials but I thought it was part of the rubicon package not limited to xr.I'm trying to come up with a list of what's in the package. I'll edit it as I get more details. Is this close?
- 35" tires
- Beadlock-capable wheels
- 4.56 gears
- HD Dana 44 axles (front?)
- HD rear brakes
- Rear track bar relocation brackets
- Taller springs / 1.5" lift over Rubicon
- Extended sway bar end links
- HD tailgate hinges
- Rock rails(?)
- Steel bumpers(?)
- Locking diffs(?)
Left check box is Willys right is Rubi.I'm trying to come up with a list of what's in the package. I'll edit it as I get more details. Is this close?

Damn, it varies by trim? That'll be more challenging to document.Left check box is Willys right is Rubi.
Assume you're comparing two Wranglers from the factory that are sitting side-by-side and one is 2.5" taller than the other. Are you being pedantic to say that one doesn't appear to be "lifted" in comparison to the other? It's Xtreme, probably just a spell check...
Question: Is it really lifted if it is stock. I think no, it is stock...lifting implies you took something stock and jacked dat bit up! The brakes are the biggest upgrade, with 4.56 2nd, and the wider axles/stance with stiff springs makes it corner great!
