There are many threads that go into this. If you literally just want information on the lift, then it's a 1.5 inch lift over regular rubicon. Taller springs, longer swaybar end links, track bar relo brackets. Most forum members would probably agree the value is not in the lift tho.

Chat GPT:

The Recon package for the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon includes a factory lift kit that provides an additional 1.5 inches of lift compared to the standard Rubicon suspension. This lift kit is designed to improve off-road performance by increasing ground clearance and allowing for larger tires to be installed.

The Recon package also includes other off-road upgrades such as heavy-duty Dana 44 axles with electronic locking differentials, rock rails, and steel bumpers. These upgrades help to improve the Wrangler Rubicon's off-road capability and durability.

It is important to note that the Recon package lift kit is a factory-installed option and is not a third-party aftermarket lift kit. This means that the lift kit is covered by the vehicle's warranty and is designed and tested to meet Jeep's standards for safety and durability.

If you are considering purchasing a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with the Recon package, it is recommended that you consult with a dealership or other expert to fully understand the features and capabilities of the vehicle.

That last paragraph is hilarious.

The lift in itself is the weakest aspect of the XR package, especially if you wheel your Jeep.

And the $2K for the terrible factory bumpers is a big waste of money.

Agreed, although the steel bumper package is a stand alone option from the XR package.

The XR package is still a good value at $4k for the wheels, tires, 4.56 gears, HD front axle, HD rear brakes, lowered rear track bar, extended sway bar links, etc. My gripe is solely with the 1.5” lift springs and shocks that offer no flex.

If you're going to stick with the factory size tires (or slightly larger), it's a bargain.

Agreed. I just threw on some spacers and some Fox 2.0s, a very budget way to get some significant gains with this setup IMO

I'm trying to come up with a list of what's in the package. I'll edit it as I get more details. Is this close?

Rubicon changes:
  • 35" tires
  • Beadlock-capable wheels
  • 4.56 gears
  • Upgraded brakes
  • HD Dana M210 HD front axle
  • Increased GVWR
  • Taller springs / additional 1.5" lift (2.5" total)
  • Rear track bar relocation brackets
  • Different bump stops
  • Longer sway bar end links
  • Steel knuckles
  • Hinge gate reinforcement
  • Jack spacer
  • Tire relocation kit
  • Flare extensions
Edit: updated per various comments.

  • 35" tires
  • Beadlock-capable wheels
  • 4.56 gears
  • HD Dana 44 axles (front?)
  • HD rear brakes
  • Rear track bar relocation brackets
  • Taller springs / 1.5" lift over Rubicon
  • Extended sway bar end links
  • HD tailgate hinges
  • Rock rails(?)
  • Steel bumpers(?)
  • Locking diffs(?)
I just bought a rubicon xr. Steel bumpers is a separate option. Mine came with rock rails and locking differentials but I thought it was part of the rubicon package not limited to xr.

It's Xtreme, probably just a spell check...

Question: Is it really lifted if it is stock. I think no, it is stock...lifting implies you took something stock and jacked dat bit up! The brakes are the biggest upgrade, with 4.56 2nd, and the wider axles/stance with stiff springs makes it corner great!

Damn, it varies by trim? That'll be more challenging to document.

The 35" tire suspension line includes a few things that might not be obvious.

Assume you're comparing two Wranglers from the factory that are sitting side-by-side and one is 2.5" taller than the other. Are you being pedantic to say that one doesn't appear to be "lifted" in comparison to the other?
