Ever since I got my 2020 JLUR I have been getting around 18.3mpg (including lots of highway) for the 2.0L with 93 fuel. Much lower than I was expecting. What kind of MPGs have you all been getting?

In before "If you care about MPG then you shouldn't have gotten a wrangler."

I have a 2020 Sahara 2.0. Took delivery mid last week. Have already taken a few short trips. Various types of road conditions and speeds. So far I have raised the average mpg from 18.5 to 22.5. So I am interested to see how this next Friday, Saturday and Sunday go because we have several short outings planned.

Lots of variables:
Is your jeep broke in yet?
Is your jeep stock?
Rubicon or other? (gearing in axles not the same)
Unlimited or 2 dr?
bigger tires?
Was the re cal of the speedo done? (if affects odometer, and mpg being off if not done as well as shift points)
Even if re cal was done the engine works a little harder with heavier tires with more friction than stock.
HT and steel bumpers or soft top and plastic bumpers?
average speed?
4 passergers or 1?

I have a 2 door HT 2.0l
bigger tires, re cal of speedo done.
1 passenger commute under 55 mph = 24 mpg
2 passergers + luggage at interstate speed 65=70 mph = 22 mpg (1500 miles driving for 2 days)

So comparing to others with the same 2.0L engine will vary. The Rubicon is always going to be lower mpg compared to all others due to lower gearing and slightly higher engine rpm's. Over time the adaptive learning of the auto trans will adjust shift points. If to drive like a granny the shift points will move to lower rpm's, If you always accelerate aggressively and have a heavy foot...........the shift point rpm's will adjust higher, and of course will effect mpg also.

You are going to get a lot of variable answers. I say this from experiences as a cyclist, -+4% grades and winds up to 10MPH are pretty indistinguishable to a driver. Yet, they will indeed make a sizeable difference in people's MPG's. You are going to get answers ranging from 17-18 MPG, up to 25MPG from owners of the V6 or 4 cylnder turbo's.

I live in Southern California, I have a stock JLUR 4 cylinder Turbo. I drive conservatively and rarely exceed the speed limit. I average 21 MPG.

About 2500 miles in, around 21 plus or minus. 3.6, have seen 26 on a tank of freeway driving, dirt and headwinds drop the numbers.

I’m averaging right around 20.5 through my first 4,000 miles. 3.6L JLU Sport S. Good amount of highway, but a lot of city driving too. About an hour or so of trail riding.

LOTS of naked driving and soft top in sunrider, at minimum, if it’s not raining.

Just took it camping for the weekend. A little over 500 miles which includes 4 hrs of trails. Averaged 18.9 mpg for the trip. I'm impressed!

Have about 2k on the odometer. Doing a trip right now with 4 adults and luggage and averaged 23mpg on two tanks of 87. I thought that was really good.
3.6L Sport. Stock JLU.

7/10 - Update
Just got back yesterday from the 1600 mile trip. 23mpg average.

2020 JLUR with 2.0t in Alberta. At around 3100 miles so far and I'm averaging ~20mpg. My commute is only a 10 minute drive and I see about 16-18mpg during that. Going across town on longer drives I can see about 23mpg. Highway trips I'm averaging 20mpg.
Some observations I've had. Leaving climate control on Auto can kick the AC on whenever it wants/needs. This will make a bit of a difference, maybe 1mpg? Idling instead of using ESS for me makes a difference of 1-2mpg on my commute.

2.0l JLUR with 35s and 2” lift- around 16 mpg in town, 18 on two lanes doing 65 - 70 mph. 14 mph doing 80 mph in strong cross winds. Premium fuel adds about 1 mpg
