What do you guys think about the way Jeep literally tracks every detail of each and every drive through Connected Services. It's kinda cool as I can track my average speed and MPGs. But I'm not sure I want Jeep knowing my every move. What if I have to bury a body or something??

I would say it none of their dam business where and what I do with my jeep! I never knowingly granted permission to track my vehicle!!

Perhaps the very idea of being watched prevents some people from doing bad things?
It enables Karens who should be minding their own damn business to do bad things…

had warranty work to replace an O2 sensor and find out your tech was driving your jeep 92mph and when questioned they don't know why it would have been driven that fast for a test drive...then after you complain the trip data does not register for the next 3 weeks they have your vehicle.....Not sure how they were able to prevent trip data but they put on about 100 miles after the time I complained with data not registering...

Wow! That's messed up!!! They probably disconnected whatever transmits that data. Not sure if it's transmitted over a gps antenna or over cellular data.

Anyone with a smartphone is being tracked and watched and listened 24/7/365 anyway. So I wouldn't worry about Jeep.

Sad but true. Several times now have I noticed ads on the screen that are directly related to esoterica that I recently discussed with family members or friends. Some things simply aren't coincidence.

100%. We are having this too in our family. Getting ads of something we spoke about but never searched for.
Hey, I wish Jeep keeps tracking of me swearing every time I'm getting a rev hang on my "recall completed" 6 speed and sometimes even stalling embarrassingly after driving a stick for 40 years. So they can look it up when I visit the dealers service. 😁

During one of my pre-purchase test drives, in a three-pedal Jeep, the engine shut off when I came to a complete stop at the first intersection where I had to do so.

I remember panicking a little bit, thinking the salesman in the passenger seat is going to think I bodged the clutch work (I didn't!). I said, "The engine just shut off." He quickly explained that that was the proper functioning of the Engine Start/Stop feature. I asked him if it could be turned off, and when he replied in the affirmative, I then asked him to do so, since I thought it more important to watch for the light to turn green (we were first in line.) He pressed the relevant dashboard button and that was that. Phew.

I was driving a 2006 Honda at the time, and had been away from the new car market for many years. I therefore wasn't at all familiar with the nonsense invention that is "ESS". Lord knows I am now, lol.
