What is this?

Just noticed this. This is in the front passenger side wheel well. What part is this that appears to have duct tape wrapped all around it? Is this the way it is supposed to be? Doesn't seem right...won't the duct tape eventually come off?

That's wrapped around a wiring harness leading up to the battery. I'm guessing duct tape was used as opposed to electrical tape given the exposure to heat. Mine looks wrapped up & secured a bit neater, but I can't get to it since I have aluminum inner fender liners & can't peel it back.

Yes it will probably come off when the warranty expires, but hey that’s someone else’s problem then!

I can't believe I'm already halfway through my warranty. Could be an excuse I give to my wife to trade it in. I wonder if the Bronco will be duct taped together.

It's actually heat reflective tape that covers some conduit for wiring that runs just above the fender.

Probably Mopar speciality installation. That option is $450 extra.
