Got home from a road trip and found this lying on the driver's side floorboard... I pulled off the kick panel and looked around but couldn't see anywhere obvious that it went. Any ideas?

Just looks like a clip that holds something in place. Maybe from the footwell? Anything that looks like that on the other side?

I know I am not that helpful, just trying to think through it with you!

I got my flashlight out and looked around the best that I could and couldnt see anything obvious.. hopefully it's nothing too important.

I'll look but I haven't had the glove box out in months.

I wish it was that simple..
Have you checked under the hood??? JK
It looks like some kind of clip. It looks very dusty, so it might have been there a while. I would check under the dash area and see if anything looks like its missing.

Is there a square ole anywhere under the dash or under the seat? May be some kind of a plug.

No, I haven't looked under the hood. It wasn't there at the start of my 200 mile drive. I can't find anything anywhere under the dash that looks out of place or like it's missing something.
