What is this and how can I get it to stop rattling?

When the music is on, I get a very annoying rattle that I’ve pinned down to this cable vibrating in its housing. Can I unplug it and wrap in electrical tape or something? Would love to hear if someone has gone through this

Put some foam pipe insulation around it to stop the rattle.
Unplugging part of the harness might have unintended consequences

Unplugging it and wrapping in a few layers of tape would probably do the trick.
