[QUOTE="macintux, post: 34075, member: 12013"...Anything other than the engine or transmission, eh, well, I can probably replace it if I absolutely have to.[/QUOTE]

And we can be pretty sure FCA will stand behind most reasonable problems....

and the only way to move forward is to venture (buy), and venture involves risk..

but the most reliable factory service of defects always come in 2nd to the miserable factory service of the problem that never was, or got fixed on implementation 1.0 of the vehicle, before you bought 2.0

Then again, life and time are precious--and risk leaves us only when we pass away.

It's a personal thing--no rights or wrongs to buy now or later--maybe only in hindsight.

I was talking to a friend about this. His perspective was there is nothing like the first year of a new model. It is like the anticipation keeps going as we learn about the new model and all the accessories and mods start coming out. It's just more fun. That offsets the additional recalls and as long as everything is taken care of by FCA I think it is worth it.

ThirtyOne, despite my trepidation I do not disagree with the excitement of new model fever you wisely discuss.

After all, we're only "ThirtyOne" once (wink).

It's really not just one thing.

It's complete pricing, color availability, and my firm desire to test drive one before I buy it.

I can't yet be sure I want a manual, which was my hope, because the early reviews are far too negative. If I decide to go with the auto, I'll want the turbo as well, unless it's too expensive or delayed too long. I don't even know when those questions will be answered. A planned 2-door diesel would certainly make me wait, but I don't expect that. To me, it's a peculiar launch, with the JK still in production and the JL fitted with the old engine.

I haven't been 31 in a long time. I'm just a Greg Maddux fan.

I'm still trying to decide on JLU, JT or full size pickup.

The one thing? Price.

Price price price.

No way I'm spending $40,000 or more on a midsize vehicle with no towing capacity and no engine options of 300 HP or greater.
