Here's my unpopular opinion.

Milestar Patagonia MT are overrated.
  • The tread pattern is not an M/T. It might be an A/T or off-road biased street tire in my opinion.
  • They're lighter and cheaper because you're buying less rubber.

Here's my reasoning:
  • 37x12.50x17 Cooper STT Pro comes with 22mm of tread depth when new.
  • 37x12.50x17 Milestar Patagonia MT comes with 19/32" or 15mm of tread depth when new.
  • The Milestar has 32% less tread depth when new than the Cooper STT Pro.

As for the Milestar "M/T" tread pattern. Look at the rubber vs void space and make up your own mind if it's truly an M/T, an A/T, or a glorified off-road street tire.

“built not Bought” …
...
More like "Bought and bolted on, not built"
Anyone who's played around with motor on axle electric crawlers and/or experienced the instant torque of an EV whole heartedly disagrees. Should every Jeep be an EV? Hell no. Would I love a solid axle, motor on axle, EV wrangler with any range over 300 miles? Absolutely and I'd be at the dealer today putting in the order if it were available.
...if they offered it without Un-connect.

I added the fender flare extensions to appease the police in different states who might pull me over when i travel from PA to Moab, California, etc.

Oh so I’ve never ever been stopped because my tires stick out. Ok. I’ll admit it. I bought them for the looks.

My unpopular opinion, I dislike non-factory style flares. I understand some have a purpose, but most are just for that aggressive look.
Mine are mopar.

My unpopular opinion: "aggressive", "badass", etc are...weird...applied to equipment. "Aggressive" tires? "Badass" lights?

I see them used a lot among bass players too...seriously? An "aggressive" bass? What?

Makes sense to say a knife is aggressive, or your dog is badass. But really...

Hey that's my JL in the top photo lol.
And yeah, agree 100% w/ your assessment of the Patagonias, except you didn't mention they're real poor in wet & cold conditions as well. Only reason I have them is I got them for $124 each back in late 2018, that same size (295/70/17) is now almost twice that much. For whatever reason the Patagonias are priced in range of much more premium tires, and they shouldn't be.

I have 315/70/17s Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s in my shed that I've been waiting to install, seems like I've been saying this forever, but haven't put many miles on the JL lately :( Should be a huge upgrade in all aspects!!

Man, I have a few some have been mentioned before.

* Rubicon is not always better
* Painted fenders and hardtop are a pass
* Bought a Jeep not a super computer, believe we should be able to repair without a PhD
* Like the engine without the plastic cover as it seems most do not
See my avatar, my 1979 CJ-7, came with body color painted fenders. Yes they were steel, not plastic. Painted fenders have been a jeep thing for many years.
