I'll preface my unpopular opinions by saying that the vast diversity in style and equipage is what makes the Jeep community so cool and interesting. To each his/her own...but since you asked:

-Cutesy Easter eggs are lame.
-Cutesy ducking is lame.
-FCA's gratuitous overuse of technology, infotainment, and babysitter systems make the JL unnecessarily complex, costly, and prone to failure.
-Angry grilles look terrible and impede an already weak engine cooling system.
-Key fob is waaaaay too big and totally useless if you don't have power locks.
-Owners who spend tons of $$$ on a vehicle but never bother to read the owner's manual.
-Mall-crawlers bristling with every off-road accessory and option just to look cool is ridiculous. You're not fooling anyone...we can tell your Jeep never leaves pavement!

The whole MT vs. AT thing is a worthless discussion in 2022. After decades of driving Jeeps and numerous other vehicles with MT, the JL is my first AT and I'll never go back. Really just a matter of personal preference...not capability.

When I first read this thread's title I really didn't know how this one would go. Reading through all the comments highlighted two things for me:

1) The sense of humor from this community continues to crack me up daily.

2) ALL of the comments/opinions posted here are exactly why the Jeep has such a unique community. It's just a big ol' squared-off blank canvas for each owner to paint, decal, light up, swap out factory parts for performance aftermarket parts, name (or not), lift (or not), or mod however and make it his/her own.

There may be a bazillion on the road now, but I'm still digging the whole Jeep thing.

Naming your jeep or referring to it as a she or he is wierd.

Ducking is wierd

Aftermarket grills look terrible

Bigger than 17" rims looks dumb.

Most aftermarket wheels period look bad on jeeps.

Jeep has to have the record by a factor of 10, for the most poorly modified, tacky vehicles on the road. 90% I see with modifications look dumb. Usually with poor wheel choices, poor grill choices, and handprint mirror stickers.

1. Tires should be covered by fenders on the road.
2. clean the loose debris off before you get on the road.

That car wash at every trail head? Tell us you bought a Jeep for the mall without telling us you bought a jeep for the mall.

OK, I'll say it...There's really nothing wrong with the size of the FOB. Its design fits the Jeep style, and my switch key has never deployed accidentally. I tried the smallest Threedom FOB and didn't like it.
Here is my "Evolution of the Key Fob" - yeah, they're getting WAY too big! I don't know where the JL fob fits but my F150 fob is ridiculous.

Driving a Jeep with the top and doors off is awesome, until you hit about 60 mph. Then it’s just loud. Driving next to a semi truck on the highway is deafening. Throw in a strong crosswind and you better tie down your hat and hang on to your sunglasses.

My unpopular opinion here:

My 2021 2 Door Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package is seriously badass and a blast to drive on or off road. They did a phenomenal job with it. It's extremely capable, well built, and looks great in Antimatter Blue.

Funny... on the Bronco forum where there is a similar topic, I say basically the same thing about my '21 Granite Crystal Rubicon 4xe.

The great thing is that they're BOTH true.

Mine:
The Jeep is a car, not a truck. (JT is an exception, but a questionable one.)
The Gladiator is a Wrangler.
I think ducks are fun.
Most men use Jeeps as extensions of their egos.
The 'not a Jeep' JL v JK v YJ v whatever generation conversations are childish.
There's nothing about the JL or JT that is 'raw' despite what people think.
