New Wrangler owner, first time wrangler, long time Jeep owner. I love it!

I’m going to wave whether you wave back. I don’t understand the ducking, but secretly want to be ducked. It’s part of the Jeep culture. You don’t get to define every aspect of a community this large.

I have a friend that has a 2dr and calls mine an suv. No it’s a Jeep. I’m an adult now with a child’s heart and want 4 drs for my friends to jump in. I want power windows and heated seats. It gets driven in the snow, I like those things. I would have still bought a 2 Dr, but I’m glad Jeep evolved. It now trumps all the luxury suvs I have had in the past.

✌

Ducking isn't "part of Jeep culture". It wasn't a thing when I owned my JK from 07-12 at all.

If you feel like it, take a listen to this song by Dave Allen and Jimmie Dale Gilmore ‘Downey to Lubbock’ (official video). Really catchy tune where you can’t sit still by the second verse. Doesn’t the bass guitar player look like Kris Kristofferson, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore sounds like Willie Nelson quite a bit?
That dude does sound like Willie.
I'm not a huge country fan, but my dad was, and I grew up hearing a lot of Willie Nelson.
After my dad passed, I found myself listening to more (old) country music.
Especially Pancho and Lefty.

I'm going to listen to more of there guys!

Love Pancho and Lefty (written by Merle Haggard I think). One of the greats; many musicians have covered it. Also check out Jimmy Buffet’s Living and Dying in 3/4 Time for another country rock favorite of mine. The album cover has a partially sunken boat with Jimmy in it. Especially like the song Brand New Country Star (with steerhorns on his car) 😂
Townes van Zandt wrote Pancho and Lefty.

Merle and Willy did a great video of it though.

Yep.
I was just about to say the same about Townes.
Slower and different, but a great (original) version.

He's even in the Willie/Merle version video!

The album "Pancho and Lefty" by Willie and Merle is my favorite Willie anything.

There are an insufficient number of Jeeps with CBs.

On my way to work today I saw a JK. It was purple, tube doors, lime green tow hooks, hinges, windshield banner and seat covers, 20" wheels, red ring spare tire brake light.

Jeeps are the new rice.
At least it wasn't black. :giggle:

If anyone “ducks” my Jeep, I’ll give it to the dog to tear it to bits...
