What Gas Treatment/Injector Cleaners Do You Use???

With my cars and truck,I periodically use fuel treatment/injector cleaners. I do this to clean out whatever crud is in the fuel system.
Now, from almost day one, I can notice that when I run regular 87 Octane gas, the engine isnt as smooth, at idle, compared to 91/93 octane gas. Lately I have been using the 87 Octane gas, because of prices.
Well, today I was in a grocery store and saw STP Gas Treatment for up to 21 gallons. Perfect, and only $1.47. So,, I tried it, and poured it in, in the parking lot. When I made it home, I idled for a while, and it was glass smooth, with no ticking at all. Not so, before, when I went to the store. I was very surprised.

Nothing, just buy gas from quality vendors and clean looking gas stations.

My general feeling is that it’s snake oil, and not needed. Jeeps are noisy. Turn up the radio.

That said, Seafoam is a wonderful product. For injectors, specifically, my mechanic had me use this in my wife’s GMC when it was throwing an injector code: Chevron 9280-6PK Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner - 20 oz. (Pack of 6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C7GWOCM/ It did make the code go away for a few months, which was enough time for GM to issue a letter acknowledging there was an issue. (Got a new injector under warranty.)

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

i only run Chevron gas and dump a large bottle of Techron in it every couple of months.

Techron. I run my vehicles and their engines into the ground, 200K, 350K, to nearly 500K miles. I'm convinced that Techron makes them run well and longer with better power. Some of it is just the octane hit and I do run premium; but, I believe it also cleans the engine.

I run 89 octane from Exxon about 90% of the time. I use Lucas fuel treatment about three times a year. My 3.6 runs very smooth as it always has. I honestly don't know if the 89 octane helped or not.

I have the 2.0L turbo with the direct injection. They make cleaner specific for direct injection but I have looked everywhere for it and can't find it. I would like to use it occasionally (not like royal purple says at every fill up for like $16 dollars a bottle, you would go broke) I wanted to just go to the store and get it but I guess I need to check online.

This and if i see a tanker at a station filling the tanks i go on by. They stir up all the crap that laying on the bottom of the tank.

They have big filters on the pumps where I buy gas.

I have never used an additive. I haven't had an issue with injectors. But if I did, I'd pull them and take them to RC RC Fuel Injection
