What Exactly Does “Estimated Ship Date” Mean?

Does it mean the date it’s going to ship out of the factory? Or the date it’s going to arrive at the dealership? Because there’s a bunch of people on here saying their Jeep arrived at the dealership on or very close to the estimated ship date.

It's when it should ship from the factory if it doesn't get caught in JB or I. Build will normally start a day or two before.

"Shipping" normally takes a few weeks.

From my experience ordering many jeeps, ship date tends to translate to the day the jeep will be built.

This date tends to change a lot as well.

Not a dang thing. Essentially just a feel good date for you, the buyer. They shift those dates around so much I wouldn't put much weight on them anymore.

When things are going right, it does end up being more like the date the build starts.
