Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3,
35 x 12.5 R17, D-Load Range. 35 PSI, Cold
No issues.
Have the same tires but in a 315/70/17 on a 2dr w/ bumpers, full belly skids, winch~32 psi cold seems best in my case.

Not interested in air down psi or door rating or tire side wall max pressure. Just running around town or heading out n the highway foe a few days cruise type of tire pressure. What are you all running. I have a 3” lift but shouldn’t matter.
Depends upon the tire, I run 35 x 12:50 x 17 GY Duratracks, GREAT combo street and OR tire and I run 32 psi on my JLR all the way around. Great drive in city or trails about the best overall Jeep tire in my 50 years of driving Jeeps.

NOTE 32 for street use give me my max contact patch for my SWB and the tire. Each version of tires have their own contact patch. That is how I determined how much psi to use.

315/70/17 KO2s on stock Rubicon wheels. I have steel bumpers, tow package, winch, and Mopar lift. 30 Psi cold in warmer months and 32 Psi in cold months.

Caulk test is the way. Get the full tread on the ground.
So you just spread out a line of caulk and see how much tread makes contact???
 Sorry Ben, couldn't resist :)

I've been meaning to do a chalk test and have just never gotten around to it.

Mine are always getting affected by the weather. Some days cold they'll be at 32, the next day 35. I've kind of given up. I did notice I got the best MPG I've gotten was when I was out in Utah, weather was warmish and tires kept going up to 38/39psi.

Ran 30 in my 35s (KO2 315/70R17). They were load range C.

Have 37x12.5R17 KO2s now and run 28. Load range D.

using 31-32 cold reading on TPMS (and gauge) for BFG KO2s C-load 315/70R17 on a 7.5" wide rim (narrow for 315 / 35s)

Looks like I'm on the fairly low end of the range of what people are reporting.

I just had mine installed. Load range E and 35 psi. Since these are new tires, I can see that the tread isn't making full contact, so I will be dropping to 32 or possibly 30.

I searched google and preferred method seems to be , put the caulk on tires. "this is the way"

You. can use the caulk I don't because you need to do a full rotation. Not so easy with caulk.

But water works very well and is easy to do. Flat surface, a light spray of water, let set for a moment and drive-thru...

2 tires, slightly different psi and let 2 lb out of the inner and 4 lbs out of the outer and it came out with a full contact patch.

There is another method which is the easy way to do it and the surface does not have to be very flat. You CITY boys can skip this, but out in the county and on the ranch we had a lot of vehicles, Tractors, ranch trucks etc. We also have lots of dirt roads, just drive over and stop and read the tread.

Learned this from Dad. He told me get the tractor ready for Spring and he noted one of the tires was a little low and said to pump it up with some air. Well how much and how to and it was the dust test. Hand pump not easy and we did have air compressors or pressure gauges either (they were NOT accurate at all). So Dad showed how it was done.

Now you got 3 choices!

This is a perfect contact patch, edge to edge doing the dust test.

Weigh your rig. See how much is on each axle. Consult your tire manufacturer's pressure-weight chart. Fine-tune within the range they specify. Viola.

I really appreciate this tip... I looked all over BFG web site could not find it and I went another site...

Tire Inflation Basics | BFGoodrich Truck Tires

Tire Charts - TirePressure.org

And both were useless..

going back to the basics (Chalk test) on a 4000lb jeep with BFG 39 x 13.5 x 17.. I will end up with between 20-25 psi depending on most grocery getting type loading.. and 30 psi when over landing and 10 psi when rock crawling.. I ran the same with Maxxis 37" Treps and Creepies. these BFG have a 1/4" thinner side wall, so i may end up back closer to 25-30.. time will tell..
thanks for the great tip..
