Diesel, because I have had them in my last 3 pickups over the last 24 years and they work well

We all know the EcoDiesel is going to be put in the Wrangler, based on the glo plug fuse circuit in the released owner’s manual; so why all the immature petty games that FCA has to taunt us with? They know very well whether or not it can be configured with a 6 speed manual based on the new transmission’s torque capacity. Is it going in the JL or just the JLU? What is the marketing strategy, for keeping us in the dark, as to the diesel’s full deployment across the various Wrangler platforms?I'd like to see a V8 in the lineup as well. Manual transmission option for everything. Choices and options are good.
That would be... IT’S NOT OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED / REVEALED YET.What is the marketing strategy, for keeping us in the dark, as to the diesel’s full deployment across the various Wrangler platforms?
Even if it’s not officially launched; people have been placing dealer orders. Are you saying these orders are bogus? There is no sane reason for FCA to be playing games when it’s obviously well known the diesel is coming. Who says they’re going to tell us 100% everything everybody wants to know after Nov 29th? I doubt it very much if anything will be added about the diesel. That would be... IT’S NOT OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED YET.
After Nov 29, it’ll likely be very clear.
Lighten up, man, this is a fun vehicle. That's its primary purpose.Even if it’s not officially launched; people have been placing dealer orders. Are you saying these orders are bogus? Another topic; they taunt us once more by announcing 4 new colors without any actual visible representation. What the heck is “Sting Gray”? What kind of childish ridiculous antic is that?
I, for one, think it's clever.Lighten up, man, this is a fun vehicle. That's its primary purpose.

Where did you get the illogical leap from, other than pure ignorance?Even if it’s not officially launched; people have been placing dealer orders. Are you saying these orders are bogus?
It’s not a game, it’s no secret that LA is the main reveal date (and as expected SEMA the sneak peek). There is no sane reason for FCA to be playing games when it’s obviously well known the diesel is coming.
Again, this is not new.Another topic; they taunt us once more by announcing 4 new colors without any actual visible representation. What the heck is “Sting Gray”? What kind of childish ridiculous antic is that?
Not sure it’s actually childish. Nobody’s ever made a play on words for a car color before? As far as not showing the other colors, it looks like they left some Easter eggs in the JPP parts reveal. Not sure why you’re so worked up.What the heck is “Sting Gray”? What kind of childish ridiculous antic is that?
Also technically they never officially announced any new colors, they just showed up in the dealer systems, for any other car it'd never get posted online and people wouldn't think anything about it.Another topic; they taunt us once more by announcing 4 new colors without any actual visible representation. You guys don’t get it. First of all what’s the purpose of camouflage and hiding their new developments? Big shocker guys/gals; Jeep has no competition, there is no other vehicle anywhere like it. Who’s going to steal their ideas and build a competing vehicle?Where did you get the illogical leap from, other than pure ignorance?
The Wrangler order banks have ALWAYS been open before both the press launch and even pricing & full feature details were available, usually preceding it by a month... kinda like right now.
Allowing enthusiasts to order now, instead of Nov 29th is a nod to those who have faith in the platform and want it ASAFP.

Since about January FCA/JEEP has stated that full details will be at LA and any non-official information will not be addressed until then.
Again, this is not new.
Late avalability colours are often not represented prior to launch, the most recent ones would be Chief or Sarge, both of which were sightly different than early concept and auto show vehicles.
This isn’t difficult to understand, nor is it unique to FCA nor the Wrangler.
Huh??You guys don’t get it. First of all what’s the purpose of camouflage and hiding their new developments? Big shocker guys/gals; Jeep has no competition, there is no other vehicle anywhere like it. Who’s going to steal their ideas and build a competing vehicle?
Mr. Ape; I never said anything about the “WRANGLER” order banks not being opened. You should carefully read before you respond so you don’t make your own illogical incorrect statement.
I don’t care what was done in the past. What was done in the past is exactly how I feel now; there is no reason to pull off a lot of marketing mayhem and deceit; including the color secrecy. Let me say it one more time; there is no other vehicle like Jeep out there. They will still continue to sell hundreds of thousands of vehicles without all this deceit. Enough said.
Certainly not Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/FCA with GoBananas, GoMango, Inca Gold, eXtreme Purple.. then Xtreme Purple...Not sure it’s actually childish. Nobody’s ever made a play on words for a car color before?

Hey, you’re the one claiming bogus orders, not me. Orders require the banks to be open which they are and always have been prior to full disclosure of details. You can only order what’s in them and immediately made available by FCA to order, not late availability features or colours that are still on hold, even if they are already announced months ahead of time (like the Special Editions, etc), so none of that infers bogus orders.Mr. Ape; I never said anything about the “WRANGLER” order banks not being opened.
