I've read its not a good idea to keep water bottles in a hot vehicle. Supposedly it leaches chemicals out of the plastic. Maybe add a pack-a-punch in an IWB or leg holster if you're not already doing that.

I carry a cheap tarp to lay on if I need to work under a vehicle in the mud or sand.

For what purpose? You mention fire scare, but that fire extinguisher isn't going to do anything for a building/structure fire or wildfire. So, what's the problem you're trying to solve? What is the risk, what is the level of likelihood? For what threat are you preparing to face?

Your list looks like a basic kit for driving around town. Is that what you're trying to do, put a list of things for driving to the grocery store? What does fire have to do with any of it?

I must have read something wrong.
I read the same. My kit for driving around town is a wallet. But I don't live in Florida and I've heard it can get wild out there.

Yep a blue tarp (cheap, at least they used to be at HF). Always good to throw on ground to keep you dry and/or clean.

Light weight rain jacket that can be jammed in a tight spot not to take up room. I'm not a poncho fan... they suck when it is windy.

Duct tape.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised how useful a couple of $5 moving blankets from Harbor Freight will be. A spare charging cable for any of you electronics. A USB power bank battery or two. A spare battery for your remote (2032?) A USB rechargeable flashlight.

Dude, invite me next time you're doing what ever you do. I need this in my world.
I was just joking. It appeared the OP was looking to prep for the apocalypse. LOL
I am going to Rausch Creek on the 25th with a few guys. We are doing black trails if youre up for it. ;)

I second duct tape, 50-100' of paracord, poncho, emergency blanket, tarp, flashlight with spare battery. All good stuff you'll use one day.

A couple of MREs, a couple of handguns, a long gun, (ammo) bear spray, a bottle jack, beef jerky, and a foam mat. ;)

Maybe a tire patch kit.
What about a couple cases of Twinkies. They will be impossible to find after the Zombie Apocalypse starts.

If you are planning on going on the beach make sure you bring a shovel and a good piece of plywood to support your jack if needed. 18x18x3/4 marine plywood works good.

Harbor Freight Moving Blanket(s)...
Keeps you warm if necessary
Provides a pad to lay on when under your Jeep when working on it
Use to pad a winch hook
Throw it on the hood in a hail storm to prevent hail damage
Place your Freedom panels in pocket you made out of the blanket
Protects your interior plastic panels when carrying crap
Hide stuff under it so asshats cannot see the stuff
Use as a stretcher to move someone
Use on beach as a beach blanket or as a blanket to sit on at campside
and more..... read here... https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...ight-moving-blankets-why-you-need-them.19320/
