What does a TPMS warning look or sound like?

Hi,
I just ordered a portable compressor to take with our new JLUR on the jeep trails.

Then I realized that lowering the tire pressure for off road use is probably going to trigger a TPMS warning.

What's is the warning going to be? Will it be a light on the dash or an annoying beeping sound?

I read that you can zap the warning, or adjust the trigger point, with a Tazer type device but I'd rather not mess with my Jeep's brain.

So, I'm just wondering if I can live with it.

How annoying is it going to seem?

Thank you.

The TPMS warning will light up on the dash with this icon. There isn’t any sound or beeping associated with the warning.

It's so subtle that I drove around with it for a year when I ran 30 psi. It didn't bother my random OCD. It doesn't even flash. Just a steady light.

Thank you for the info.

I am looking forward to experimenting with softer tire pressures.

The Taser will allow you to extinguish the light, I believe.

It will, but mine won't let you set it below 25 psi, so when aired down to trail pressures, the light will still come on.

The Taser will allow you to completely turn off the system so even below 25 the light will not be on.

I should have been more clear- unless you want to completely disable the TPMS system (which I do not), the lowest the Tazer will currently let you set it to is 25 psi.

If you fall below the factory alarm setpoint you will get the idiot light and a chime along with a message on the EVIC that tells you there’s a low tire pressure issue.

You can get a Tazer or similar and change the setpoint down to 25 but below 25 you will get the same message and there is nothing you can do except turn off the system with a Tazer and then you will not get any pressures display but upon startup you will get a small chime that’s not really that noticeable
