I had planned to build a simple pulley system but would have to over come some hurdles in the garage. So when a simpler way.
I used a 1x3 x 8ft (from Lowes). 2x4 would give a bit more room to screw the eye screw. Make sure to secure the top to the beam with zip ties or something so it won't get knock off (see video below).Nice work! Two questions:

Not really, I back into the garage and use the harbor freight hoist. I built a big H out of one inch square stock, lay it on the roof, hook up some straps,and lift it to the ceiling.
I recommend power tools if possible. I assembled mine with hand wrenches and was pretty sore the next dayFor those who have the top lift pro how was the installation? I will start mine tomorrow
